Always wanted to do oneBut my fingers are awfully sore after this. Don't think I'll ever have the guts to draw something pixel by pixel again, at least not one this big Xp

D: I thought there were shortcuts to get the pixel effect? If not, OH GOODIE XD I always wanted to do one of these, and I don't look forward to the PIXELBYPIXEL thing XD

There are but most don't give the right look. Best way is to use the pencil tool and then delete the unwanted pixels

Woow, I just love the rainbow coloured paint! ^^ Pixel art is really time consuming but the result is worth it!

Well I cheated a bit on it. Used photoshop filters for some of the effects, the paint included X3

It has a freehand tool, but it's not very good. I used it mostly to draw poor animations

That reminds me of a story about a true artist
The king's royal artist passed away and he needed someone highly skilled to do his portrait. So he issued a proclamation for all artists in the kingdom to try and apply for the job. The best of the best would be the next royal artist
So everyone came, bringing their best works to be evaluated by the king. All except one, a mangy looking man in tattered clothes
When the king asked for his work he said he didn't had any, but he could prove he was indeed and artist if someone was kind enough to lend him a pencil and a paper. Curious the king ordered for them and the artist, with no aiding material, drew a perfectly round circle freehand
What does this prove? That in comparison with all the other artists, who brought their finest and most elaborate works, he outskilled them all by showing a simple but perfect circle. Something only most can dream of ever achieving =3

It's part of the pixel IDs. They're like cards mimicking old fashioned computer games, back when all the characters were 2D images drawn pixel by pixel
This was started by a group of people and other DA users found it so interesting they started doing their own. Basically it's drawing yourself as a fighting character
Just run a search on Pixel ID and you'll find loads of stuff =3
