It makes me think of the three fates... the one who spins, the one who measures and the one who cuts.

: / I guess I just dont like the idea that my life is pre-determined. I like to beleive that the future is a constantly changing mass and that the turns I take on the roads of life are my choice... so I can blame none but myself when I take a wrong turn... and its easier for me to see my mistakes when I dont have to wonder why whoever determined my course set me down the road I went. I guess my way is simpler for me because I know that when I do something, when I choose to do whatever I do... the result is a consequence of my actions. I mean there are always things in your life that you can't control.. but those things are no excuse for ignorance or irresponsible action. Just like there is no excuse for people to whine and moan about being mugged when they choose to walk through a rough neighborhood at night. :/ I can only hope for their sake those people learn from their mistakes. Maybe I am too harsh.... Fate does have that sort of magical appeal.... but for many it can easily become a crutch. It can become a reason for them not to strive for what they want in life, instead beleiving that if it is destiny it will happen. >_>;;; I guess Im a fish that swims against the stream.

what if fate exists, but it is created entirely by you?

The notion of fate implies that what happens in not in your control and not by your choosing.... therefore it would not be fate if you made it yourself...
However if you are saying that fate exists because you beleive in it, then I would agree. : / Fate is one of those things without solid proof with out substance... and like religion and ghosts, only feels real if you beleive in it.

:/ I spent some time trying to figure out what to say.. in response to what you said... but I was drawing a blank. O_____O And then I found out my friend had a kidney infection and I threw the internet out the window.. I couldnt concentrate on anything knowing she was sick. :/ I spent Thanksgiving and this Saturday over at her place taking care of her. I suppose it serves to remind me of how fleeting our existence is and how we should make the most out of every minute.
When I think of things like fate, or ghosts, or even the boogie man.... I can't help but think of the theory of the universe as being subjective. For example a 5 year old boy who beleives there is a monster that lives in his closet. Nothing you can say will change the fact that for that boy, the monster is real. Because we do not beleive in this monster, we do not see it. But for him, he beleives so he sees the eyes in the closet, the shadow, the noise and in his world it exists. For this same reason, two people who experience the same event can have wildly different stories. Your perception is colored by your beleifs which in turn creates your reality. So I guess if you beleived in fate you would see these nudges you speak of. In which case they would be real for you.. though not for me. @_____@ Sometimes I almost kick myself for learning about meta-physics and stuff like that... it makes a huge sticky web that is hard to navigate....... but like my mother said to me just today on the phone.... there are always 3 sides to the story. Your side, my side and the truth.

I think that really depends on the person. I think that science and reality have helped form my imagination. Knowing why things happen the way they do has opened new doors and new possibilities for me. Science and reality can peacefully intermingle and even enhance fantasy and your imagination. One thing I always found interesting was that writers have always had the romantic notion that we were made of stardust. It turns out we (at least) partially are. The sun burns and emits radiation and particle streams. Those streams bombard our planet and we absorb them from the moment of our conception till our death. Our mothers eat plants and animals that have absorbed them, they bounce around on our skin when we go out side... the air we breath is filled with atoms from our very own sun. And when we die... that "Stardust" in our bodies will dissapate and make something else sparkle instead.

Hehe First of all I liek the spellbounding theme :] Once again you've impressed me with your work. i liek the pose and composition and texture usage. but what i like most is the colour. And how you deal with him. It's really delightfull how you combine so many different colours and you manage to keep the image blended as one. I also like the magical swirl effect here. keep up your great work, regards /A

This is so stunningly beautiful. It reminds me very much of Da Vinci's roof murals, and for reasons other than it contains a pointing finger lol. Like thepurplemonster said, its the softer more subtle movements and colours that make it great.
