As you chrushed friend and foe, and one by one they fell.
There, you're a king, but at what cost and how?
There, you're a king, tell me...are you happy now?
On a mountain of "treasure", in your golden throne, sitting, waiting
Till' it comes time when you realize, you greedy fool
You are The King of Nothing,
and with nothing you rule.

I like how this piece is reminiscent of a graveyard; the king sitting on his tombstone-like throne overlooking a sea of rocky outcroppings (which are like silent graves; their once vibrant occupants passed and leaving only lifeless dust.) Even the muted sunlight serves to only highlight the bleak nothingness he oversees. A greedy fool left with nothing of true worth indeed. Excellent picture and poetry!
