serenity and peaceful;
the snowflakes floating
the trees reflecting
on the blue-to-orange gradient water.

the glimpse of red branches
standing hidden behind a shrub
safe-guarding the weeping willow
weeping for the Spring.

with eagle eyes, peer through the waters
see the hidden mini-glacier of the snow
and land's meeting with the creek.

This piece really caught my eye and imagination as I was going through my deviations. It took a good eye to capture this moment with the perfect angle. It's nice to see a good use of color and contrast in the composition as well. Bravo on the great photo.

I'm such a sucker for snow and reflections. And this piece has them both! Lovely.

Although I'm really not sure on the placement of the horizon. It's too low to fit into the top third à la the rule of thirds. And doesn't quite reach the middle - instead hovering somewhere between the two.

I can see that you have tried to focus more on the reflection, but by doing so the composition doesn't feel balanced or harmonious.

It's a difficult capture. What I would have done is to take the shot from further back, then crop the sides to elongate the final piece. Then the trees and ground could have occupied the top third whilst the water could have taken up the bottom two thirds. Otherwise a great concept.
