According to the anime Theresa was the most powerful claymore in the history of claymores! As a human child Clare traveled with Theresa, when Theresa died Clare injected herself with Theresa's blood to become a claymore. Theresa is the most powerful of all the claymores ever, and her blood flows through Clare.
