Description Oil Painting. The "monster" revealed itself when I was putting a light layer of paint down for the background. I went with it, and this is how it turned out.

I did actually dream about this guy--he chased me up a tree and tried to kill me.

Are you familiar with Francis Bacon? Dang this is like a hybrid of his work and the black rabbit of death from watership down - no wonder its a nightmare!

Francis Bacon? I adore his work! And I love Watership Down, both the book and the movie!

Thank you for the and for such high praise. I'm also impressed that you made it all the way back to my very first submission! How cool!

Cool and mysterious...Maybe it was just chasing you down to get attention :3

I keep dreaming about ninja's beating the hell out of me. Maybe I should draw them and make them go away

Thanks!

You never know--it might just work. Drawing can be very cathartic.

In the end of my dream, I had to kill this thing with my bare hands. Eeek. The things my subconcious comes up with...

But yeah, maybe he just wanted a milkbone.

"But yeah, maybe he just wanted a milkbone." - LOL

Most of the beasties that I see in my dreams actually protect me. It's the people I see in my dreams that I have to worry about e_e

"Most of the beasties that I see in my dreams actually protect me."

Same here--that's what made the dream so disturbing to me. I have nightmares about people doing awful things far more often.

Yeah... It's my own fault I guess... Thing is, once I painted the bastard, I didn't dream about him anymore. He's safely contained now on canvas.

I'm glad you like the painting!
