Description
A Toa'lee, one of the races that I've made up with my darling. Xarr'i is a gladiator, a member of a lower caste that often don't have the apostrophe in their name, which indicates a click sound in their language, which represents personhood. He is, however, adopted by a clan who make him into an executioner, which is a higher rank. Toa'lee come in a variety of colors ranging from yellow to purple, but they can never be green, as it's a genetic marker that results in stillbirths (if the fetus survives that long - it's complicated.) Blues make up maybe five percent of the population, and as such, are considered incredibly attractive.

This was mostly an experiment in using bolder strokes with less blending. It's not really a finished picture, but I liked the looks of it. Enjoy the sad little baboo.
