So I watched Kingdom of Heaven a little while back. Okay movie, some poor mythology at times as far as the religious aspects went, but it was pretty, I suppose. The one thing that hooked me to the movie? The leper king. What I find the most intriguing about him is that he existed. He was beautifully portrayed, and Edward Norton's voice entrances me (hence part of my fascination with Fight Club). The scene in which he humilliates one of his not-so-faithful subservients sold me on his character. I spent an hour or two finding the perfect scenes of him in the movie, freeze framing it, and drawing them. They were mostly quick sketches, save for one. I'm sure you can guess which.By the way, the leper king was King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem during the Crusades.

Ah, this is wonderful!
The two people I'd like to meet who are, sadly, long dead are King Harold Godwinson of England and King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem. ^^
They showed such courage and did not deserve to die such horrible deaths. But, as King Baldwin says himself in KOH; "none of us choose our end really."
