To Hilda-the-Great, He was not fit at an early age. Simply what you see is the normal growth of a child. He is sitting in the sand and his body is creased (it happened to me as a boy lol, and I'm sure to all boys/girls in general. It is baby-fat basically. He's growing up and he's still a child lol... He was also very thin during his age so... Rhonalex, great piece again! I hope to see you do more!

Thanks Shawn! (calling you TsarevichAlexei can be a bit confusing ), and thanks for answering Hilda-the-Great's question. Yeah, he was very thin for his age due to his frequent hemophilia episodes. So he probably wasn't very muscular, but he was active, and mischievous.

By the way, there is a story that while Alexei was at Stavka in 1915 or 1916, there was a dinner with a large number of guests for some festival. Alexei ran into and out of the dining room several times, but when he ran in again, he had his hands behind him and stood behind Grand Duke Sergei Mikhailovich while the Grand Duke continued eating, unaware of the impending danger. Suddenly, Alexei lifted the hollowed-out watermelon he was carrying in his hands and plopped it on the Grand Dukes head. The liquid left in the watermelon ran down his face and stuck it so tightly that the Grand Duke had trouble removing his unwanted hat. Many of those present could not help laughing. And try as he might, the Emperor could barely contain himself. Alexei rapidly disappeared...

(Sorry, that was really long aaa)

Ah, since you're the photographer, what is the wooden looking thing by his leg?

I'm not the photographer. This is a photo of Tsarevich Alexei Romanov who lived from 1904 to 1918, which was YEARS before I was born. I just coloured the b/w picture. About the wooden thing, I have no idea.

Perspective...

I was trying to make it look enthusiastic and keep it close to the reference photo.

Didn't realize the watermark would be that intrusive when I was uploading the picture... .-.
