Presenting: 300 Watcher contest!DEADLINE UPDATED!Read Carefully for Rules, Deadlines, Etc.Well, thought I'd get this out before the watcher count decreases to below 300 again. It's been a long time coming, and more than a year since I reached the 200 watcher milestone. A lot has happened: I have moved around a lot, friends have left or vanished. But I've made new friends too. It's foolish to think that everything is perfect and wonderful here on DA. There's been floods of AI images, some of them really disturbing. The website has made a lot of unpopular decisions. BUT! There's no reason we can't spread some positivity and have some healthy competition between each other!Also. This is a great opportunity to meet some new people, see some great art, and read some amazing stories! Also please share this and maybe get others interested. If you don't mind. (Not a necessity)Given we've reached a higher watcher count, I think the prizes need to be a little bit better too. So, without further delay, here are the two categories and rules.REMINDER: The art and writing competitions are SEPERATE. ,ART CATEGORY: All skill levels welcome! Digital or Traditional. It's all fair game. What are we supposed to draw? Any of my characters. I lack drawing skills, so it's a real special thing to see them come alive. Your piece can be as simple or as complex as you like. We're looking for creativity and passion. If you want to do a simple B&W sketch that's fine. You want an elaborate piece with a full background, that is also fine! Character sheets? Cool. A chart, map, landscape, chibi versions? A crossover with your characters? Cover for a story you read? Comic? Sure! Whatever it is YOU would like to do. All stand an equal chance of placing, as I'm not sure how many will enter. (Drawing references included in this journal read on if interested)Oh but X watches you and they're so much better at drawing than me and.... *Smack* No! None of that thinking here! You don't know who is ACTUALLY going to enter. Some may even say they are and not participate. You could be the only entrant for all you know. So I say go for it, no matter what your skill level is! This is about fun more than anything. Rules: Anyone can enter! You don't have to be a watcher of mine to enter. (Though it would make me happy if you did.)No hardcore NSFW images please! I'm ok with a bit of fanservice here and there but keep it tasteful.Please leave a link to this contest in your entries. Writing Category: Write a story featuring any of my characters.Just like the art contest whatever you're comfortable with, be it a short story or longer, or even a poem if that's more your cup of tea. But if you do decide to write a long epic piece, at least have a PT1 by the deadline. It's always a joy to see what other writers do with my characters. These stories can be grand adventures, humorous situations, mundane daily life, or crazy crossovers with your characters. Want to write an AU where multiple characters can exist together? Sure. Is there something you've always wished I did with my characters, but I never do? Now's your chance to use your ideas. Rules: I am perfectly fine with my characters, getting hurt, captured, tricked, needing help etc. As this usually just adds to the stakes. I only ask they not look like total chumps, or get some comeuppance later. Please don't kill them out right, that's a bit mean. Again, I'm ok with a bit of fanservice but please don't go too overboard.No you can't just have an AI write it for you. It's okay to use AI for a prompt, or to help you through writer's block, but definitely don't let it write the whole thing.
