A modern take on the tale by Hans Christian Andersen (I was a bit in a provoking mood when I came up with that idea ).

Those little, delicate *coughs* feet have such a sensitivity that they feel every tiny roughness on the street even with those super comfy long distance skates. Thats unfortunately exactly how those poor feet look and feel after a 135 km run up and down the Rhine.
