A rare bird to appear at the Seed Feeder today. I don't know about you, but I don't feel at all negativeabout the Crow as many do. I suppose if they were white, they'd be accepted, you know....the bad guys always showed
up on a black horse, and well, Trigger...you know! The Crow is painted black by nature to more easily absorb the sun's
rays in our brutal Winters. They're wonderful parents, Omnivores AND Cannibals ( I've seen this...not pretty!)...
but I still love them deeply. They rarely eat seeds...guess the road kill is scarce. This is a rare happening.RCG

This shot is my favorite...because OF THE POSE of the bird...
and I look for good poses. Out of about 15 shots, 4-5 were sharp
enough to work with....the rest went to trash. Focusing these
manual telephotos takes patience..meanwhile the bird is bouncing
around likeΒ yo-yo!!! This one just said SIR CROW....

It's so clear and 3D.I love it!!......Getting the right photograph is time consuming........but composing your own painting takes more time Richard!

Nice capture, they nest in a tree near us so we watch all the antics of nest building etc
