Finally finished my third and final fan fusion! One between Lapis and Pearl, no less! For both of them, I believe that their fusion would be a balanced fusion akin to Opal...if Lapis would set aside her hatred to fuse with Pearl. In the show, Lapis has been a prisoner many times from being an adornment trapped in a mirror, to being trapped in Malachite. There's no doubt that she has a very good reason to hate everyone (except Steven). However despite having her reasons, I suspect that she believes that no one else can understand her hardships and that their own suffering doesn't matter compared to her's. With this selfish worldview how could she ever fuse with Pearl? That's where Steven comes in. Similar to Pearl, Lapis has a great love for Steven, and it is probably the only thing in her life left to live for. Like in the "Giant Woman" episode, I believe she would throw her hatred aside to fuse with Pearl in order to save Steven's life.
When fused, both halves of the fusion (Lapis and Pearl) will become aware of each other's hardships and sufferings faced over their lives. For the Lapis-half, she would be humbled as she would come to realize Pearl's own hardships, while different are just as heavy as her own. Thus, the fusion's personality herself would achieve a spiritual balance and be very empathetic. However, this fusion would be like a patron sea deity to Steven, a very powerful god-like being fiercely devoted to his protection and well being above all others.
