The hair is superb, without a doubt. But I think that all the attention and patience that you put into it did NOT go into the face aswell. The eyes can be better rendered and some deepr shadows are missing (by the lips, eyes, neck etc)

Thank you for the comments. I haven't been well so please excuse the late reply. In regards to your critique, I have to say that the reference I used for this picture was extremely poor and in low definition so the face was almost pure white on the reference picture. I invented most of the shadows and lighting that fell upon the face otherwise there would've been nothing. The hair was also changed so as to appear glossier then it actually was. The whole piece was effectively a figment of my imagination with a lot of the detail improvised so as to make the drawing much more interesting then the original screen shot which was really poor. I also don't have access to a scanner so all of my submissions are taken on a very ordinary camera which is unable to pick up some of the more minor details on the drawings I do and the reflective nature of graphite makes it very hard to really capture a good image. The original drawing is so different to what you see here it's untrue. I have always found this very frustrating, but rigt now there is little I can do about it. Thank you Lily. I love that little emoticon, and also that you're so knowledgable about the older films. Those original star wars films were done in the 1970's, but they're still enjoyable to watch. Thanks as always for your nice comments. Take care - rich x
