Tidy
"You live in this pigsty? I'll have to teach you how to clean someday."
Vetja hates messes, and as lazy as he is, he feels inclined to clean a disorganised den, nest, or whatever it may be. He is known for cleaning his own sleeping area at least once a day, and sometimes the area around that, too. His cleanliness problem doesn't only apply to bedding and nature- his fur is almost always sleek from grooming. He does a lot to keep up a good image, and although some may call it odd or even obsessive, he always comes out looking his best.
Loyal
"Well, I suppose I'll fight beside you. You've earned it after all."
Though it's hard to get, loyalty from Vetja is almost the best thing you can recieve from him. If you have done enough to earn his loyalty, you won't regret it, for, almost no matter what, he will side with you and help you out, even if you are wrong and he knows it (then he will simply try to hint to you that you have made a mistake in some manner). As hard as it is to get, it is also easy to lose given Vetja's critical personality in which he analyzes almost everything a certain cat does to make sure they are doing everything as he approves it.
Neutral ×
Flirtatious
"How do you expect me to stay away from you, love? You have the most charming smile and the prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen."
Believe it or not, Vetja is a real charmer. Although he is more reserved than sociable (and definitely more charming when sleeping), he does develop a flirtatious attitude during adolescence. He mainly hits on females, but occasionally will bat an eye and nuzzle the cheek of a handsome tom, and when asked about his sexuality he will simply respond with "It's none of your business". However, Vetja, usually, does not mean anything he says in a legitimate romantic way, and even later says he finds it hard to find any romantic attraction to anyone he meets.
Stubborn
"No, we are not doing that, I don't care if the Silver-Water says so!"
A trait that can be good in some cases, but bad in others, is definitely one that belongs to Vetja. Once he makes a decision, he likes to stick with it, and his pride makes him stand by it even if he realises that he is in the wrong or losing. He would rather sink with a lost ship than admit defeat and move to the better side, and this could definitely be one of the greatest downfalls of his life.
Solemn
"Ah, I see."
No matter the news, it is a rare sight to see this Blue-Water smile, even to see a small pull on the corners of his lips would be astonishing. Vetja keeps up the serious attitude even in the worst or best of cases, and you should definitely feel accomplished if you make any of his facial features display something positive.
Reserved
"I don't believe that is for you to know quite yet. Maybe another day."
Emotionally, mentally, and sometimes even physically, Vetja is known to seclude himself and not open up easily. He doesn't trust or rely on other cats much, and even though he tells his mother almost everything, there are still the few secrets he decides to keep to himself. If you get this cat to open up to you, you should definitely give yourself a pat on the back.
Negative ×
Irritable
"Your very existence is annoying me right now."
Similar to his father, Vetja can be very snappish and rude. On any given day, if you even step out of the den wrong, you may get an angry snarl from this small tom. As usual, the exception really only applies to his mother, whom he believes is perfect and whom can never irritate him no matter how hard she would try. He sometimes thinks that cats like to exploit this personality trait and get a rise out of him, but then dismisses the thought as paranoia.
Lazy
"I'll do it later, I'm trying to rest."
He likes to say he'd work hard, but when it comes to it, Vetja would rather lay in the sun all day then search for gems in the dirt. It takes a great deal to motivate him, and even if you get him up, he may just whine to you and complain until he's let back out of duty and allowed to lay around once again.
Pessimistic
"Unfortunately, life doesn't work that way, and things only end badly."
Need some cheering up? You probably shouldn't go to this Blue-Water. His view on life is horribly negative, and even if you try to drown him in optimism, he manages to fight his way back with depressing comments about how life works in only cruel and unfair ways. Some may mutter and groan about how he sounds like an old furball, all alone in the world, but he prefers to say that he's being realistic.
Impetuous
"Yeah, that cat, didn't she die earlier today? I never liked her anyways."
Vetja has the bad habit of speaking without really thinking, and in the process, possibly offending some cats. His pride doesn't allow him to back down and apologise, so instead if he says something out of line, he waits for the other person to finish being angry/yelling/etc, and then either counters with some made up reason as to why what he said is okay, or leaves.

Prologue ×
Vetja's father and mother met shortly after both of them joined the Tribes, and love followed not long after. They weren't mates, but that was okay, and kittens weren't supposed to be in their future. So when Lyra announced she was expecting them - Well Leviathan was in for a surprise!
Kithood ×
When he was first born, Vetja was definitely more relaxed than he is now. He was at least decently sociable and adventurous - even optimistic and carefree! However, somewhere along the way he slowly got lazier and lazier, and began to get rude and snappish when he didn't get his way (some may say this is due to his mother's constant coddling of the child). He only showed affection towards his mother, though he did feel familial love towards his brother, sister, and father to some degree (don't ask him, though, he'll never admit it!).
After a few months, in a bad trip to try to get away from the noisiness of the cats in the camp, he found himself lost. He was still in tribes land, but in territory that he, of course being a kitten, had never seen before. Due to this horrible mistake he dissapeared from Water-Tribe, leaving his family in a panick. While he was aimlessly wandering in an attempt to get back home, Pertinax managed to find him, having fallen in a river and washed up nearby. She took her adopted nephew under her wing and journeyed with him back home, planning to drop him off to his worried family back in Water-Tribe before returning to Fire-Tribe.
Along the way, the two definitely got into a few fights. They managed to escape one or two unscathed, but when a kitten and a half-blind cat are set against a badger or angry rogue, it's hard to escape without at least one or two new scratches. While Vetja managed to get out of the badger incident without any marks, Pertinax was scratched up. The angry rogue, on the other hand, aimed right for the kitten, giving him some nicks in his ear and a scratch on his tail. Afterwards, his adopted aunt drove the spiky-furred stranger away.
They traveled a bit more before meeting someone unexpected, who went by Thalia. After a few days of story-telling and trading off relations, it was revealed that this she-cat was Lyre's biological aunt. He accepted the knowledge with an uninterested shrug, only to go back to sleep while the Black-Water and Orange-Fire continued to discuss something he wasn't too interested in.
His aunt agreed to lead them back home, for she had memorised the way to Water Tribe, admittedly thinking of returning to the tribes some day, but for now being happy where she was. She told Lyre to inform Leviathan of her being alive, and also to pass on the message that Remae, the cat his sister was named after, was also with her.
He hadn't realised how long he had been gone until he returned, his own mother (oddly enough) greeting him as his tattoo appeared onto his shoulder. He accepted the mark with no reaction, perfectly happy with being a Blue-Water. Recieving his true name, Vetja, he began his new life in Water-Tribe, of course, after taking a few days to visit his brother in Fire-Tribe and sister in Shadow-Tribe (which took a week or so with Lyra's increased protectiveness of her scarred son).
Once educated on what had happened at the missed gathering, he took it upon himself to join the exiles' cause, and when asked by his mother as to why, his response was such:
"Why are we going to allow our own cats to be taken away, and allow this anger over such petty matters fester, when all that is demanded is exactly what many complain of: equality? There are dumb cats, and there are smart cats, and although they are not equal with smarts, they should be treated as such, and if we can't give them that bare necessity then who are we to cry and whine when someone tries to raise a fit?
Although we say every tribe is equal and loved, even that isn't true, and we never do mention the exiles. Take Father's sisters. They seem like decent cats overall, and yet, would they be treated as such? Would they be welcomed and loved and visited whenever possible outside of the tribelands? I think you know the answer, Mother, and it is not the one that I wish for it to be."

[ Kitten | Lyre | Water-Tribe Camp ]
The silver kitten raised his brows, unamused by his brother's weak attempts at 'fighting back'. 'How am I supposed to help him get better if he doesn't even try?'
He allowed the action to go on a few more minutes before clearing his throat, "Lee, if this was a real battle between you and another cat, a simple push on the belly isn't going to do very much. You have to attack with all your willpower, even if it means hurting the other cat." He jumped off of his brother as he continued talking.
"There may come a situation in which another cat is angry at you, for whatever reason. Maybe you stole away his love interest, or maybe you hurt his family. Either way, if it comes to that, that cat may try to hurt you, or even kill you. How are you supposed to survive with such saddening skills?" He sighed again before shaking his head.
"Give it more effort this time.... brother." The word tasted sour. Until now, he had his family set. He had his Mother, his Father, and Remmy and Lee. He didn't mention them as siblings aloud, maybe due to the pride he had, or maybe due to the embarassment they caused him. Or maybe it was a mixture of both things. Either way, he hoped he could help what he would call a 'lost cause'.
Not giving Lee a chance to argue, he braced himself, "Now, try to knock me off my feet." His muscles tensed, and his eyes locked with Lee's, as if trying to intimidate.
