We've seen a lot of success these past few months - our printer has copied a quarter of my library, we're learning how gunpowder can be a very potent weapon, and we've added several more thralls and cattle to the manor. I'm especially proud you turned the latest thrall all on your own. We may not yet have found anyone else worthy of our gift of vampirism, but I know we will soon enough. But of course, our expeditions to claim resources and slaves hasn't gone unnoticed, as evidenced by the couple of hunters that each dropped by. The second one even had an official bounty double the usual price from the region's lord - not that it will do the hunter much good as he now wastes away as feeding cattle. I'm glad you took him down before he could pull the trigger on his rifle. But I don't wish to wait around for a group of hunters armed like him to show up or even a patrol from the lord similarly armed, so I think it's time we deal with this lord somehow. Any ideas? Hm... intriguing beginnings of an idea, and one I hadn't considered. I'll give you the afternoon to think it over, and we can flesh it out more when I summon you to my chambers tonight.
