Description the only reason i included Calendar Man in this project, was because i had totally forgotten how Tim Sale drew him, and once i flipped through the Long Halloween, i decided i had to add him, just cause i loved the way Sale portrayed him.

I can definitely see the Sale in this. But not in a rip-off way. Your style is still there. That's great that you can honour someone's style but do it in your own way.

I think you do calm poses like this really well. The little things always look so intricate and lifelike. Like his hands. The way his fingers are curling around. It's really great. And there's so much subtleness going on in that face. It doesn't look like he's expressing much...but you get such a vibe of that face. Such a feeling of arrogance.

thank you, really, i tried to get inspired from Sale, but i really didnt want to just do a copy cat, thats not really how i go about doing things. i feel like, if your gonna copy someone's work, atleast bring something new to it.

Yeah that's how I feel about it. That's what gets me excited about doing fanart too. Having that chance to do a character the way I want to and not be confined to how someone else has done it. Otherwise...what's the point? You could just copy someone else's or just use theirs.

I agree. I love Calander Man because I love the way Jeff Loeb and Tim Sale portrayed him. They really took a goofy theme villain and made him awesome.

(Although, I did love the Silver Age goofiness of him in Batman: Brave and the Bold because he was so silly that he was adorable.)

Here are my favourite episodes:

[link] - "Deep Cover for Batman (Part 1)" - Batman goes to an alternate universe where everything is the opposite.
[link] - "Game Over for Owlman (Part 2)" - Owlman disguised as Batman frames the Dark Knight as a criminal. The real Batman is forced to find help from the most unlikely source.

[link] - "Mayhem of the Music Meister" - The famous musical episode starring the Music Meister (Neil Patrick Harris). The songs are very, very addictive.

[link] - "Legends of the Dark Mite" - Bat-Mite (Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Rubens) is Batman's biggest fanboy from the Fifth Dimension.

[link] - "Aquaman's Outrageous Adventure" - Aquaman goes on a family vacation, doesn't like it, so he sneaks off to help his fellow heroes.

[link] - "Super-Batman of Planet X" - Batman goes to the alternative universe known as Planet Zur-En-Arrh where he meets another Batman (Kevin Conroy).

[link] - "Trails of the Demon" - Batman is transported to the 19th century and solves a Jack the Ripper-esque case with help from Etrigan and Sherlock Holmes.

[link] - "Rise of the Blue Beetle" - The new Blue Beetle is concerned that he isn't worthy to take the place of the original Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) who was murdered. (I'm amazed this series can talk about "death" and this is a kid's show?)

[link] - "Hail the Tornado Tyrant" - Red Tornado wants to learn more about humanity by creating a child. (Very sad episode.)

[link] - "A Bat Divided" - Batman is split into three different personalities -- Logical Batman, Angry Batman, and, uh...Slacker Batman.

[link] - "Chill of the Night" - First all-serious episode: Batman discovers the identity of the man who killed his parents and seeks vengeance. (Adam West, Julie Newmar, and Kevin Conroy guest star.) Now, one of my top favourite episodes of the series!

I really enjoy the series. They'll be concluding the Staro prologue arc soon from what I hear and I can't wait for the "Emperor Joker" episode. Emperor Joker is one of my favourite graphic novels.
