Prompt Challenge #30 - Valentine's Day
held by

"[...]please make sure to include a brief explanation of how your artwork fits the prompt[...]"Well, who doesn't want to spread some love around the internet? There are so many negative comments here and there, cyber-mobbing, abuse, harassment... Yes, even on dA . It's our job, and by that I do not mean your neighbors, but people like YOU and ME, to spread happiness, comfort and self-confidence. That's why I tried to share a heart with all of you, not just couples, but also singles, widows, nonconformists, etc...

Super-cute caterpillar!

What did you use for the white lines?

Thank you! :3

I used this uni-ball SIGNO white gel pen
(because I'm too lazy to get some water, towels, brushes and paint )
I can get them at almost any drugstore here in Germany, but I bet there are many alternatives.
There are two types: thin and thick
The thin one doesn't necessarily draw thinner, it spills a lot and it dries up very fast (sometimes in only two weeks!!! ).
The thick ones are much better - if they still dry up I open and blow into them to make the ink flow again .

Always look for the thick types! If you need a thinner alternative though, I guess you could use a thin brush and white acrylic paint (or Tempera).

Oooh, makes sense Thanks for the advice! I wouldn't think of the thin ones drying up.
