Aww don't worry about him. My brother took him out to a bar and helped him man up. Then Soundwave caught the nearest Decepticab and chased after Nitro (the fem in the comic). He caught up with her just before she could enlist as an Autobot and confessed his feelings.
They got together for a short time.

Looks like Soundwave needs to have a "guy moment."
I'll have a chat with him in the bar, make him angry (by saying something like "Dude, of course she left you! She's been trying to get WITH you for three years! I mean, you're a great guy Wave, but lets face it: You don't know how to handle women!"), and then we'll punch eachother until he gets the message. He will immediately leave the bar, flag down a Decepticab, and catch up with the wayward fem and tell her just how he felt about her.
We'll become fast friends and laugh about the whole ordeal years later, over a beer and some wings.
