This is both hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. Heartbreaking because, somewhere, somehow this was probably part of Zone's thought process while remaking Aporia. Damn you sad, old man missing your sad old man friends! I cry for you.

I didn't expect you to comment on this one because it's kind of an inside joke. Basically, Zone and Aporia are lifelong friends. Aporia eventually dies of old age. Zone is left alone and uses his memories (and robotics engineering prowess) to build a mechanical version of him.
The joke is that this robot version of Aporia looks nothing like his old friend. Aporia was a crippled old man when he died. But the robot version that Zone built looks like an eight-foot-tall body builder with strange animal like features, like fangs and claws. He's basically really bizarre looking, and it's never explained why these design decisions were made.
I surmised that perhaps Zone tried to improve on his old friend with the best of intentions (like giving him better teeth...). But you what they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Anyway.... didnt mean to bore you with this stuff. Havent seen you on NP lately. How are things?

According to Katsumi Ono, the producer, the way that Aporia looks is a new look designed by Z-One. He says that Aporia is different, in the same way that Old Human Aporia is different from Jose. (This is from his twitter)
Interestingly, he also says that "Aporia" and "Z-One" are code names. So we really don't know what their real names are. Not that it matters.

Oh I thought maybe he was supposed be like back when he was young because he doesn't look much older then when he was shown as a resistance fighter. And Aporia isn't his real name? That's made me curious what his real name was now!!!
