In my opinion, A Machine For Pigs is definitely not the best horror game. But as a game, a creation, a piece of art it surely is pure amazingness. Like my boyfriend, I dare to say I love it more than the original Amnesia. AMfP is just perfect in all the ways. ESPECIALLY its story. Damn, I love the story. If someone is looking for story-heavy, atmospheric experience, THIS game is the way to go. Seriously.
Fuuuuu I know I sound like some idiot fangirl right know and can't say things in clever way BUT I DON'T CAREEEEE. Lovethisgame.

I agree on every account! It's a wonderful, interactive story. I think the problem is that people expected something more like the original game and this was quite different, but I loved it all the same. The story, the voice acting, the art...

Aaah, A Machine for Pigs~ Muistan joskus kattoneeni jonku let's playn siitä, mutta en muista pelistä paljoo mitään. Pitää korjata asia.
Mut toi maski on ihan sairaan siisti, varsinki toi steampunk-ish osa siinä. Mul menis hermot väkertää noin pieniä yksityiskohtii. XD Hnnng mä kans tykkään ihan hirveenä noista varjostuksista tässä~

En ny sanos steampunkiks, iha normaali kone siel sisällä on (en tosin ees tiiä miten kattava termi steampunk on, mut ite en täs tapaukses käyttäs sitä). Ei se niin rassaavaa ollu väkrätä ku oli reffi alla :'D Reffin löytäminen oli sit vaikeempi homma (oikeesti, yritä löytää kuva koneen sisälmyksistä joka ei oo
a) Taiteellisesta kuvakulmasta otettu ja tehosteil pilattu
tai
b) Jonku tyypin rattaista kasaama taideteos, jossa ei oo kiinnitetty mitään huomiota asetelman toimivuuteen.)

Gotta agree with that. Gameplay of AMFP is more limited, though I don't see it as con. I mean, I don't even know what else you could wait to see from The Chinese Room, as their other games like Dear Esther are pretty much only walking, nothing else. I perfectly understand why old Amnesia fans hate AMFP for its gameplay, but yeah... Its style is whole different.
I prefer Dark Descent's gameplay by myself too, as there's more things to do. But as overall experience AMFP hits harder and deeper, since for me the most important thing is the story and characters. And that damn ost. ESPECIALLY this song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=O46KvO…
Like... I'm literally addicted. From all instrumentals I've ever heard, that's the first one that has almost made me cry, and only with its atmosphere. And everything. Hnng.
