Breakdown, for lack of a better word, is crazy; bat-shit crazy!—a snow-white veil imbued with the same fervour and exuberance that pervades the El Diablo and Poltergeist lines. The colt is a walking time-bomb, ready to go at the slightest twitch of motion—a pen could drop and he would flip—and on top of that, he's not exactly...nice. Although he does not seem to have inherited his family's animosity—contrary to the majority of his relatives—he is most certainly not the affectionate type, and in actuality, is quite boorish! What is truly remarkable, nevertheless, is the intellect of this colt: from a young age he'd figured out how slip a halter; unlatch a stall door without attracting the attention of even the most seasoned observers, and, much to the team's dismay; loosen the buckles on his girth—which led to some very interesting early training sessions. The backside crew held the opinion that Quarrel was savvy; however, in terms of sheer mental prowess, the dark buckskin pales in comparison to this individual.
HISTORY: Hailing from the second crop of Kentucky Derby and Preakness victor, Release the Panic, and from the female family that brought Japan's first 'white' Grade 1 winner, Sodashi.
