Here are the only married couple in my story "Seahorses" on a typical Sunday morning. BTW: I don't know why he's wearing a tie...
Kendal Queer (right):
-- Yes, "Queer" is his last name. He's been teased about it his whole life
-- An introvert
-- 30
-- Divorce attorney
-- Expecting a daughter by a former client
-- Caffeine lover
-- Only dated women until he met his future husband in college.
Iris Zion-Queer:
-- Extrovert
-- 28 (shares the same age and birthday as Kendal)
-- A "housewife," but has a degree in photography
-- Expecting a daughter by their former family maid
-- Loves being pregnant, and gets jealous whenever he finds someone bigger than him [Kendal and Vaughn]
-- Been married to Kendal for 4 years [known him for 12], briefly separated, and reunited.**
** Kendal felt his marriage to Iris was losing it's luster after 4 years, deciding to separate from his partner before leaving for a case. Both ended up sleeping with the nearest companion as a way to cope.
Once Kendal returned after finishing the case and learned of Iris' affair, he kicked him out and fired the maid. But he allowed Iris to move back in with him a month later. Niether Kendal or Iris informed the mothers of their unborn daughters about their pregnancies...yet.
