Description
This was my first computer console. The Sony PlayStation. The first console to get it right in regards to CD based games. My first games for it were ToCA Touring Car Championship and V-Rally. Other games I got during it's lifetime were Gran Turismo, Ridge Racer Type 4, Worlds Scariest Police Chases and Driver. 'Twas a great piece of machinery.Related content

I loved this wonderful machine. It pwned most of the other consoles in it's time.
Even now, SONY has it's act together and is taking he world by storm.

Awesome, tis also was my first game console and I loved it dearly. Now that I have a PS3, I can say that the soul of the PSone also resides in my PS3.

Ah yes! The PS which came out in 1995, I was really young and stupid those days, bought it in 1996 tho, my first console was the catrige block which allowed me to play games like bomerman and after that was the Super Nintendo with mario world and all that.
I think the first games I had on the PS were : Need for Speed, Aliens, Resident Evil and a few more I forgot about. I played RE first, when it came to the examination screen in the inventory menu I picked the ink ribbon and started turning it and looking at it up and down [ Don't forget that was my FIRST interation with a 3D object 83 ] Then I could'nt shoot the zombies and wasted all my ammo and died < v v > I did'nt know there was an auto aim then, then after that I was looking for walkthros and cheats >x3
Yessss Luke always complains! WHY do you use cheats? I say because it makes it more fun 8D WHEE! Then later I bought games which were hard to play and I rememered throwing the controllers around and yelling at the TV [ sounds familiar? 83 ] Mesa spoilt brat I know, I remember buying up to 3 original PS because I played the old ones for LONG hours till it went KAPUT! repaired it MANY MANY times, wow the longest I never played the PS was a month? I remember the days when I chewed my pillow because of the sheer bordom and when it was finally time to collect it they go, sorry NOT repaired yet, so mesa went on rampage again 8D AIN'T THAT FUN?
OH OH! Tomb Raider! Lara did not have a mouth that could MOVE! And she was ALL blocky and hard to control, the first game was good, the next few were not to my liking. When she talked her head just nodded and you could see the chopping animation X3 then she had no fingers too, just her brick like hands.
When I upgraded to the PS2, the games were faster and better, Ratchet and Clank was * kisses the tip of his fingers * Moax! super duper! I never owned a Game Cube or an Xbox before, I've always stuck to the Playstation XP Meow! I gave them all away to my cousin, now I'm waiting for the Playstation 3 to decrese the price before I get it, the version I'm getting allows pirated and PS 2 and 1 games. Would you like one? =3 Mesa could get one for ya too, it wil be 200 or less pounds by next year with the extra features.

The Playstation was the best console ever according to the GT.com people. Second was the SNES and NES

You can't exactly blame them for saying that. Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy XII, Grand Theft Auto, Tony Hawks Pro Skater and loads more titles all made appearances or were introduced through the PlayStation

Just because I like a PlayStation? You know, I once was a fan boy. Then woke up and realised that it really isn't worth slagging off other consoles on the basis that the one you like is better.
