Description
Floating on a sea of unfeeling,numb inside as to the water around;
so much love to give,
so much wasted.
Blood of my heart seeps away
creating crimson swirls,
beauty from pain;
misery and anguish pleasing to the eye.
Ebbs and flows, up and down,
emotions like the tide,
back and forth, good and bad.
The sat of my tears mixes
with the blood unnoticed;
silently they fall.
Lonliness gathers like clouds above me,
dark and heavy
looming and ever present;
a leaden weight upon my heart.
The clouds weep for me,
the stinging drops upon my skin,
welcome sensation,
relief from my present state.
Focus on the physical
not on the mental.
Losing my mind to the icy needles
as they sear the flesh;
stabbing at inner torment.
As I breathe out,
exhaling my last breath,
I slip beneath the surface,
sinking.
Staring unblinking upwards
as it grows darker.
Like red ribbons
billowing above me,
my life flows away.
The pressure crushes me
like a tight embrace;
finally held,
finally loved.
Cold Cold but firm, deaths embrace
is eternal.
My heart shall not go on,
because it died long ago.
