i really like your color choices they contrast very well and bring a nice pop to the image
i think he effects that you used for the the lighting on the explosion are great the blending on them is fantastic, the colors on his body and the purple and blue are just right
Squall's foot on his extended leg's looks bit off, also his hips look a bit wide if his was torso was turned a slightly more it wouldn't look as off, I love his extended hand it looks great
the only other thing i have to say is that Squall's hair is a bit to tall for his face.

This is epic! Squall is my favorite Final Fantasy character and this piece is amazing! I love the detail, and you did superb work on the Fated Circle. Not only that, you threw in Lion Heart!
And of course, the most brilliant touch to this is what appears to be a fire spell in Squall's hand. I love it! So cool!

Interesting. I kinda sense a Marvel feeling to this picture... And I realised I never saw (I didn't... right?) any Final Fantasy hero drawn in a super-hero kind of style. Which would be an interesting thing to see.
