Description
This is a preview of my next skin for windowblinds. The name is Black. Most of the major parts of the skin are finished. I still have to work on creating animations and modifying the shellstyle. The toolbar icons are not mine. They are from Azenis 2.Features of the skin:
-Translucency
-Animations
-Custom Shellstyle

Ok, I got the all programs button fixed. Had to adjust the background content margins from left -17 to -27. Another change I made was changing the Classic Colors > button - shadow to 174, 172, 181 just because the original color was kinda...nasty? LOL.
I had a hell of a time saving the changes because of the critical errors though, when I fixed the titlebar caption height to 22 (from 24) to fix the error, all the icons in the tray/taskbar got shrunk and distorted, had to skip fixing that and ignore the critical errors warning before I *finally* got it working.
Other than that I think I'm finally good.

Sorry, you had to go through all of that trouble to get it working. Did you uninstall the old version before you installed the new one? I thought I included a font to fix the problem with the messed up all programs button. hmm...
I just have to ignore that so-called "critical error" because other wise the taskbar icons get screwed up. Why would they tie the taskbar to the size of the window captions...really?
Sorry you had to go through so much trouble to get it working. Thanks, though for caring so much to do so. Email me sometime with an analysis of the skin.

I was wondering the same thing about the caption height error, totally bizarre. And yes I deleted the old version first. I was having problems with the all programs image on another skin as well, my machine hates me.
It's a great skin though, should be a hit when it gets released.

That seems to have fixed it, I'm not even sure what "large icons" does in the display properties...heh.
Although, the "all programs" image still shows up the same, like it's misaligned or something.

I'm starting to like this theme, only thing I'm not liking is the start orb - it doesn't look quite as smooth as it might, especially when hilighted. Not overly fond of the shade of blue either, but maybe I can force some coloring.
I really hope you develop some other skins around this concept, including another winstep and maybe a media player too.

After it seems that all bugs have been reported, I will release a new version with new substyles for full and normal compact start menus. I realize that the skin title bar is not seen in the thumb at the bottom of windowblinds config. I just have to save the caption as a bmp rather than a tga file... which is what skinstudio seems to like more (tga). Thanks for downloading the skin and taking the time to post your replys.

Are you going to make the substyles support small start menu icons too? When I changed mine to large it went totally haywire on me (stretched and distorted), though maybe that's because I've changed icon size settings in IconPackager, not sure. I still prefer the small icons.

This current style is set to only work/look good with 32 pixel icons on the start menu. In the future, I will make a substyle for 16, 32, 48 and the full start menu plus the normal style compact menus.

Also, here's a screenshot of my start menu with large icons. I have *no* idea why it looks so distorted, I have icons set to 32px in IconPackager. Any ideas? [screenie ]

Oh yes, another version to play with. You know I've been waiting for this to finally get released.
The start menu doesn't support small icons well, see here . Notice the arrow to view all programs. I would *really* love to be able to have a full start menu substyle with this theme.
Other than that and drkalo's comment above, the theme is great. 
I'll continue using it for a while to see if I notice any other issues and then comment back. Great job on this Ryan.
One more thing, you gonna release that dock background from your screenshot on your site? I hope it's for OD. Goes with the theme well.

Okay people! If you want to get your hands on this theme before its offically released, go to [link] and look for Black. It is on the front page. I need to know of any bugs. I will be adding new substyles after the bugs are worked out. Right now the start menu is set up for 32 pixel icons.

I definitely like what I see here. I've been using your eminence skin and it's amazing. I'm use to a compact start menu that is the opposite of what I see in this picture preview, but I think I like your style better. I definitely looking forward to checking this one out when it is released.

LOVE the start menu, same sorta style i was thinking of having on a skin i was building...
I dont like the maximize/close buttons etc.. They dont seem to match the rest of the skin

I can definitely tell you put some thought into this one. I'm glad it's not just another OSX or Vista theme, but a little of both, while retaining its own style. Definitely another winner!
Would you consider making a variant with different color accents in place of the cyan/blue?

Anyone wishing to test the skin, please email me. Testing is exactly that, testing. So, I will ask that you report back to me on bugs that you find. You need to install the vista fonts, Calibri and Segoe UI.
