Description What to do when you want to redesign your Spidersona, but also create a Marvelsona (and don't have any good ideas for one)? Throw your Spider OC in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! x'D

It basically is the same character as this one , but also no Let's consider the first design as the comicbook version, and this one is her live-action version. In other words, this is Ro from yet another, /another/ universe. Of all the incarnations I've made of this OC, however, this one is probably the furthest from me in almost every aspect. Other than a few wishful things I've added into her backstory, she's pretty much her own character and not so much a projection of myself.

As you can see, in true MCU fashion, I made her update her suit and her hairstyle as time goes by, and even gave her a temporary villainous alias. I thought of this semi-backstory for her, nothing super brilliant or mega-original, but if you're interested, here it is, by dates: (WARNING! Obvious self-inserty stuff coming, don't judge me pls. Also if you're not familiar with the MCU this might not make a lot of sense, so good luck)

(EDIT FEB 10, 2021: I decided to change her origins so that the casting I have in mind for her makes more sense. And also cleared up a lot of stuff about her relationship with a certain character.)

(EDIT AUG 10 2021: Hi! Uhm, I mostly was just going to leave this here ignored, but since people are still adding this to their favourites for some reason, I feel the need to clear this out: As of now, her story has received SEVERAL updates, so the following isn't 100% accurate anymore. The big plot points are there, but some details have change, and there's a PRETTY important character to her backstory that I haven't mentioned at all. One of these days I hope to have time and write down her full updated backstory, but just to let you know that it's best to now take all of this as a general guide and not as a word-for-word accurate gospel. Oh and also the drawing is outdated, she has an entire new face design , and some suits have changed. Promise I'll draw that soon too. There's just so much to do and so little time ;w; )

1989: As the image says, she was born on October 17th, 1989, in London, England. An only child of loving parents. Because of her father's work, they al moved to Fontana, California when she was only two. She had a pretty normal and happy childhood there.

2003: A 13-year-old Ro took a trip to New York with her parents, and one night, they were driving late in the middle of a bad storm. Their car crashed near the Oscorp labs. Both of her parents died (as it's apparently mandatory for Spider-people). She, of course, survived, but was gravely injured. At the time, there were a bunch of Hydra scientists infiltrated in Oscorp. They found an unconscious, orphaned Ro and used her as a guinea pig for their spider-human-DNA-merge-project-thing (pls help idk names). Their plan was to use her as a weapon, similar to Ghost in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp'. But oopsies! Silly Hydra forgot to re-inject her morphine, causing her to wake up before planned, and using her newfound abilities to escape this facility. Alone, confused, and thousands of miles from her home, young Ro has no choice but to start out a new life in the streets of New York. She goes on to live on several houses and work several jobs to mantain herself. When she's 17, she meets a Guatemalan family, the García's, and they hire her in her family business, and also welcome her as an honorary member. Afraid of her own abilities and unsure of her true potential, Ro spends years hiding her powers, until...

2012: Ro, of course, was in New York when the Chitauri invasion happened. She was directly saved by Captain America himself, and that moment changed her forever. She witnessed first-hand how these people with super special abilities were using them to save others. For the first time, she saw her own powers as something positive that she could use to make good and was convinced that, if she had managed to survive the accident and escape from her captors, it had been for a reason. And so, she adopts the alias Seda (choosing a Spanish word to honor the people that took her in as one of their own) and becomes a superhero herself. And although many saw her as a possible menace or even a freak, Ro was still convinced that she was doing the right thing.

2014: As low-key as she tried to be with her heroic feats, she inevitably caught the attention of the press and the media, and therefore, of Hydra. When they sent the Winter Soldier to kill Nick Fury, they also ordered him to find and capture Ro. Because of this, she allies with Cap and his team against this mutual enemy. After the fight against him is over and she learns Bucky's backstory from Steve, she's moved by it, because she sees a lot of herself in the soldier, as he's also another victim who got everything ripped away from by Hydra, except that he wasn't able to escape them like she did, and he was actually used as their puppet. And so, she offered Steve her help to locate Bucky and bring him back. And realizing how dangerous to be around her superhero status made her, she decides to cut all contact with the García family in order to protect them, saying goodbye to them for good.

2015: After months of search, Ro did manage to find Bucky. However, she could tell that he wasn't really his old self that Cap described. He was in a very weird place mentally, trying to find himself while simultaneously running from the government. She decided not to return him to Cap immediately, and instead offered him her help, and while he was hesitant and untrusting at first, in time he did learn to trust her. She helped him stay hidden and got him places to stay at, moving countries every few months (sometimes weeks) so that others wouldn't recognize and locate them. Her often visits became more and more regular, until eventually they became full-time roomates. She helped him in every way she could to learn about his own past as well as the things he had missed while he had been frozen. In time, Ro developed feelings for him. Were those feelings reciprocated? Well, it's complicated. While Bucky cared a lot about her, he still was far from mentally stable and considered himself a potential threat to anyone he was close to. Still, Ro became his one emotional support, and they both developed a deep bond that helped Bucky tremendously. Ro, in spite of her own feelings, didn't want to put any pressure on him. So they were sort of in a platonic but close relationship for a little over a year.

2016: During Civil War, Ro joined Team Captain, not much because of her views on the accords (in which she agreed with Cap anyways), but mostly in protection of Bucky. Her initial reaction towards meeting Spider-Man was fairly comedically negative, because "Why does this five-year-old in spandex have all my powers?? Who does he think he is!?" (Fun fact: in my version of this universe, the spider that bit Peter Parker was enhanced thanks to having been in contact with the radiation of the project that gave Ro her powers back then. So, in a way, they're like spider-distant cousins). Anyways, she gets slightly injured by Black Panther during the Airport Battle, precisely whilst trying to protect Bucko. She gets arrested along with the other members of Team Cap, but of course, they all get rescued by Steve. Ro accompanies him to Wakanda to bid Bucky goodbye before he gets frozen again, but not before she promises to wait for him, while he promises that, whenever they see each other again, things would be different. She once again joined Cap, this time as part of his rogue vigilante team.

2018: As you can see, Ro got one heck of a makeover. Although she was technically still helping others, part of her couldn't help but feel like a criminal, as well as missing Bucky quite a lot. She felt lost and sort of out of place, even though she was with people she grew to consider friends. After helping save Wanda and Vision from the Black Order, she traveled with the rest to Wakanda for the big battle. She of course was very happy to see her good ol’ White Wolf again, and to see him more recovered than before. Finally free of Hydra's mental control, Bucky felt like he was finally ready to start a proper relationship with Ro that they have both denied themselves for so long. Unfortunately, they would have to wait until after the battle. Ro along with everyone else participated in the fight against Thanos’ army, kicked a good amount of alien butt. But much like everyone else who confronted the Mad Titan himself, she was unable to stop him from achieving his goal. She survived the snap, but watching her beloved desintegrate in front of her devastated her.

2023: During the five-year period, she sort of gave up on the superhero gig, as she concluded it had done more harm than good to both her and those she loved. She instead used her actual greatest power: her empathy and compassion, to help those in need. She volunteered in many charity works, mostly involving helping orphans (for this part I was inspired by a discarded Black Widow concept they were supposedly going to use in 'Endgame'). She matured during this time and developed a motherly instinct. But she was never able to shake away both her gried and her need of still wanting to do something more to mend things. And she always had the feeling that those who dissappeared were, somehow, going to come back. Which is why she agreed almost immediately to join Time Heist.

She accompanied Thor and Rocket to 2013 Asgard and offered Thor some much needed supporting words. But when he ended up getting distracted by talking to his mother, Ro had no choice but to help the racoon immobilize Jane Foster and extract the Aether out of her. They escape the Asgardian guards and return to the present day with the Reality Stone, only to find out that yet another of her friends, being Natasha, had also perished. As devastaded as this made her, she felt even more motivated than before to make all this worth the effort. After Hulk snapped and 2014 Thanos bombarded the Avengers facility, Ro got trapped along with the others under all the rubble, but her super strenght was pretty helpful in getting a lot of them out. She assembled with all the other Avengers in that one epic scene I'm sure ya'll remember. As soon as she saw Bucky, she didn't wait one more second and ran to kiss him and tell him she loved him. After their brief but heartfel reuinion, they kept fighting against the alien threat. She joined the rest of the female heroes as part of the impromptu Peter Protection Squad (cause let's face it, she couldn't hate him for long, that kid is as much of a mom magnet as he is a danger magnet). After the battle was over, she attended Tony Stark's funeral with all the other heroes.

2024: I'm mostly waiting to see where the future of the MCU goes to adjust her story to it. For now I can tell you she'll have of course a main role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier show (which in my universe almost definitely won't be call that. I'll think of something later), and now Bucky and her will be dating. I'm still unsure at this point if this show will get a second season or not. BUT IN MY UNIVESE IT DOES, HAH! And it's in this imaginary second season that she would become Tarantula. This would be Zemo's doing, as he wanted to take revenge of the Sam-Ro-Bucky trio for whatever it is they did to screw up his plans in season one, and he thought that turning Bucky's girlfriend into a version of his former self was the perfect way to taunt him. The perfect revenge.
Tarantula is, pretty much, Ro's version of Bucky's Winter Soldier, for she becomes a heartless killing machine, obeying Zemo's every order, and with the soul purpose of killing Bucky and Sam, but to make sure it hurts them first. She maintains all of her powers and abilities, besides gaining ice powers, mostly freezing webs, which can spread a dreadful cold within her prey's body, eventually making them lose limbs due to the low temperature, or even freezing to death. Evil Elsa meets Winter Soldier meets Spider-Man. I told you I'm not very original.

If you managed to read through ALL of that, I love and thank you <3 Here are some fun little facts to wrap this up (for now)!
(I'll keep adding more as I remember them/I come up with something/Someone asks me something that I think is relevant enough to put here)

- All of her life she’s been scared of heights, a fear she had to get over for obvious reasons.

- Both of her parents are British, but she doesn't have a full English accent, since she grew up in the US most of her life. Hints of one do come out from time to time though, mostly when she's anxious, sick, or angry.

- Some of the Avengers she gets along with best, besides Bucky, are Sam, Wanda, Steve, and Rhodey. And as strongly implied above, her, Bucky, and Sam eventually become a classic Marvel Chaotic Trio.

- She's about 160 centimeters tall (which, according to Google, is around 5 feet and 3 inches)

- The actress I picture playing her is Felicity Jones. Although she’s a bit older than Ro’s supposed to be, she has all the physical features that I picture for this character, even her height. And some of Jone's characters, specifically those she played in Rogue One and The Theory of Everything, made me see how perfect she would be for this role.

- Her musical taste is pretty similar to that of Peter Quill, though she also enjoys many pop bops from the early 2000s.

- She hates both alcohol and coffee, mostly because they don’t have any effect on her due to her super metabolism, so she just gets the yucky flavor and none of the side effects. Not fun.

- I originally only planned her to have a movie trilogy, but since she'd be a main character in the TFATWS show (again, not called like that in this universe), she'd have a duology. Her first film would take place directly after the first ‘Avengers’ movie (2012), with her origin and re-discovering her powers and all; the second between ‘Winter Soldier’ and ‘Civil War’ (2015), some adventure involving finding Bucky and gaining his trust via shenanigans, while also coming to terms with the consequences that come with her superpowers. Her arc I think would be completed in the show, though I still don't know for sure what comes after that. We'll have to wait and see.

- Some of the nicknames Tony Stark has bestowed upon her have been “Sticky Note”, “Sarah Connor”, and “Lady in Red”.

- Her favorite dessert is key lime pie, and her favorite food is paches (a Guatemalan dish that the García's made every Thursday). She misses paches

- Her web is naturally produced, like Maguire Spider-Man. Those big bracelets things are just accesories.

- The little ammunitions she keeps in her belts are actually for her fellow hero friends. Spare bullets or mini-bombs in case they run out, cause she's nice and friendly like that. She even started carrying extra web cartridges for Peter after she softened up to him post-Endgame.

Tagging cause he tagged me in his Spidersona, and I had already briefly narrated him most of these things beforehand. I might have changed one or two things from what I originally told him, Idk

This Marvelsona of yours is really awesome and well-written. It shocks me how you have her entire amazing character arc planned out. 😀👏👍

If your Marvelsona was canon in the MCU And Marvel Comics today, I bet she would be the 2nd most popular Hero next to Iron Man.

Thought To be fair, most alternate versions of Spider-Man are popular today.

This is pretty cool.  Seems like you have her entire character arc planned out.  If she were in the real MCU I bet she would be insanely popular.  Though to be fair, most of the Spider superheroes are anyway.

I noticed that in your notes for her she also got along well with Rhodey.  He was the only one of her friends listed not on Team Cap in Civil War, so I wonder how that would affect their friendship?  Would it be similar to Black Widow and Hawkeye, stopping in the middle of the fight to ask if they are still friends?

Thanks!
And yes, most likely. Both of them care for each other in sort of a father-daughter way (although they're not as close as, say, Tony Stark and Peter Parker were), so they're always looking out for each other, even when they're on opposite sides of the fight. Because after all, it was never personal, and Seda never really expressed her actual opinion on the accords.

By the way, if Seda and Spider-Man fought in the airport battle how well would Seda do against him?  Spider-Man was basically the MVP of Team Ironman during the fight, showing his strength and ingenuity against veteran superheroes while having only had his own powers for 6 months.  So how good would he do against someone who had all his powers and more experience?

Glad you ask! I have imagined how that would go down several times xD

She yells at Spider-Man since the moment she sees him in the airport, but she doesn't confront him until they're inside the building, along with Falcon and Bucky. I imagine them having a fun spider vs spider fight through ground, air and ceiling. Seda does have more experience, but Spidey is younger and slightly more agile and strong than she is, so they're pretty even. Ultimately Peter ends up webbing her to the ground as he does with the other two, and her ego doesn't take it very well. She refuses to accept that this is the youth's first fight. But she eventually gets over it.

That sounds awesome! I imagine it would be hilarious if Peter ends up complimenting her and asking her questions as they fought like he did with Bucky and Falcon. Like he would be surprised that there was another spider-themed hero when he thought he was the only one and complimenting her tactics and skills, maybe even asking if they could work together when everything was over.

Pretty nice costumes. I pity the poor villain who pisses you off.

Truth be told though, I personally prefer the "comic" version.
I think it's mainly because of the brighter colors and overall aesthetic. These costumes mostly just feel kinda... drab, if that makes any sense. The colors are a lot darker and they just don't have that... flair compared to the "comic" version.

cute ^^

2018 Ro is what happens when you let your children hang around the group of bad kids led by an all-American hero, they come back with new clothes, a haircut, and a thirst of rebellion! At least Ro wears the look well. Did she get it at the same place that Hawkeye got his haircut? ;x
Woah hold on Spiderpeople are immune to coffee? That's a new fact for Oriboy here.

I won't deny nor confirm anything but word has it that she passed Hawkeye the contact of her stylist ;u

And well, I don't actually know if that applies to all the Spiderpeople, but at the very least it applies to her?? Since both Captain America and speedsters like the Flash can't get tipsy, and they all have that enhanced methabolism thing... I assumed :u
