Let me introduce to you my current work. I'm so excited about it's developing, so I couldn't wait more and decided to upload a wip-crop-here.
This would be my answer to the question "How is your 2018 going?"
How do you think, what is the emotion I tried to capture? Any reply would be helpful, because if it is not readable enough, I should change it into something better.
PS Oh, could you describe the passing year by just one single image? It would be really interesting for me to see.

This is so emotive and beautiful. If it is not too personal to ask, what about 2018 made you feel this? To me it seems... grieving, but of an angry sort. Like when you are so upset that you could cry, but your emotions are so fired that your eyes are dry, and so that the only relief, the only reprieve is just to... to just scream, to release it all. This seems like the scream before sobbing, I suppose.

What made me feel like this? Without being too specific, I might say that a lot of things: leaving my friends and family, losing a close old friend because of growing misunderstanding and as a result huge quarrel, losing a job, constant failure in art-related stuff (like different competitions and art-jobs), increasing feeling of self-worthless...

She's in utter rage, but she can't be welding a weapon, because her eyes are shut. I see her clench her fists in desparation, yelling curses at the gods of fate ... Very dense and impressive picture!

Really great. My perception of the emotion you've captured in this piece, is that she's just had someone she loves struck down and she's reacting with intense fury fueled by adrenaline. It's raw. It's gut reaction. Like I said, really great.

When I found comments like yours it always melts my heart. I like to discover different points of view on my art. Sometimes people describe in words what I wanted "to say" much better than I would ever do.

Oh, you weren' t close... because you were god damn RIGHT. I was thinking about overcoming struggles in life (aka battle with your fears, problems and so on) and at the same time I wanted to paint active emotion, because telling stories can't be complete without clear emotional statement in your picture. So I decided to draw an anger, although it is hard to tell why my choice fell into this particular emotion and I have no idea how I did it.
