It's that exact problem that makes her unreleasable.
Three methods were used to locate her pod.
Picture matching of all known orca pod archives,
matching her sound dialect with and comparing DNA-samples
of all known pods.
With no result. They did find out she is probably from the
Norwegian area. But the exact area is unknown. Morway is a place
orca pods gather to come and eat herring, but less and less
have returned the last years. It's an unregistred pod in a very
large area which is also knows seasons of 24/7 in darkness
In the meantime she has been in captivity for a year.
Locating her pod could take 2 years, 4 years or maybe it will
never be found. Therefor the decision came to introduce her to a
park with a killer whale group and whales of her age

Everything about Morgan is on the website of the dolfinarium,
they are not 'dirty' they asked researchers for their individual opionion
which is a professional way of handeling the case.
What if it takes 2 years, 4 years or more to find her family?
planning on keeping her alone somewhere till that happens?
she needs contact with other whales

no the DNA isn't on their websites. and in the time they are looking for her family she can live in nieltje jans , which has a much bigger and natural space then any other in the world, but it's ok if you want to believe what the dolfinarium says. I'm just saying if you look at the facts things aren't right.

At Neeltje Jans she would still be alone.
Since her DNA points out she is Norwegian, and less pods
are returning to Norway the last years it will be extremely hard
to find her pod. Not to mention the seasons in Norway. In such a large
area with no knowledge when and even if her pod will return there. With half a year of darkness it will take a long time to locate her pod.
+ What if her mother died and that's the reason she strayed of in the first place?
After years of solitary confinement in Neeltje Jans she will be completely alienated from orca contact
