Description
Spike Man is another Robot Master that APEX created based on the fact that Mega Man and many other robots are vulnerable to spikes. As such, his body is adorned with spikes, similar to Punk of Wily's Mega Man Killers. His Special Weapon are the Spike Chains, three chained spikes that are fired from his hands and can be used as to attack opponents, to ensnare them, or as a method of grappling across gaps and such. Much like Punk, he's also able to roll up into a spiked ball, but with the added ability of being able to fire spikes in multiple directions when in ball form. The Spikes on his body also give him an edge in melee combat for obvious reasons. Spike Man is rather rebellious and even tried to rebel against his own creator at one point. However, APEX has since prevented him from doing so by inserting a loyalty chip into his head that shocks him into obedience if he tries to act against the A.I. Fortunately, Spike Man often uses his spare time to gather junk and create a rage room for himself, venting his anger by destroying said junk. This has caused him to become somewhat more obedient, although the chip hasn't been removed in case he ever tries to disobey again.
