I feel bad for anyone who watched that s**t show, I knew it would blow from the start but god damn I couldn't have foreseen how bad It would turn out. Anyone who watches it is recommended to take anti depressants afterwards

What do you expect when you have Patrick Stewart voicing a piece of shit? I kinda wonder how much they paid him for that role. Probably cost them the entire film budget.

I think the worst part of it was they cancelled the popeye movie which was near close to its comic adapation for that bullshit of a movie

Otaku-Artisan In reply to BunnyHeadproductions [2017-08-06 23:43:52 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. I'm not a huge fan of Popeye, but I would have gladly gone to see that movie instead of this trainwreck of a film. Seriously, why the hell did they ever think it was a good idea to cancel a movie starring such a beloved and iconic cartoon character in favor of making this crap? If what you say is true, then the Popeye movie could have been a really great film. But instead we got stuck with a movie that's nothing more than a complete disgrace to the art of animation. Just thinking about it makes me feel disgusted. Hopefully the folks in Hollywood will decide to put the Popeye movie back into production after seeing the results of this horrible mistake they've made.

They are planning with doing the Popeyes movie in the works. But let's just hope Sony doesn't mess it up. God know what they have plan with the upcoming sonic the hedgehog movie after that horrible emoji bs

Yeah. I'm a little nervous about how the Sonic movie will turn out. Especially regarding how the fans will react once they finally see it. After all, the Sonic franchise is infamous for having one of the most divisive fanbases of any video game series ever created. Most of the entries in the series tend to be hit or miss nowadays, plus fans can't seem to make up their mind about what things they like or don't like about it. I mean, every time Sega comes out with a new Sonic game, no matter what sort of new elements it introduces or how many traits it maintains from previous entries in the series, the fans will always find an excuse to bitch and complain about them for the most trivial reasons.

As sonic myself i really dont have any hate but thr fanbase can be crazy but im hoping sony does it justice. Cause sega may have hit or miss at times but movie companies tend to fall hard

True. The film industry and the video game industry have hadΒ a pretty rough relationship between each other over the years. Because every time they make a movie based off a video game or a video game based off a movie, chances are that 99.9% of the time it's gonna suck.

For sonic at least it has a story
thats what most video game movies try their best emulate games story and functions only to fail
resident evil, alone in the dark, the mortal kombat movies, street fighter and the worst the super Mario film

Better question is "Why did they steal the hard drives?" and "why is Larry Kasanov so persistent?"
The original cut looked much better than the movie itself... but not by much

To be a lil more specific: the movie currently earned a 7% on Rotten Tomatoes, it has an unoriginal plot line, sponsored products were shoved in (as if it wasn't hard enough to avoid advertisements), they wasted the good talent of patrick stewart on a poo emoji, bland antagonist, unnecessary love interest, etc.
