Description
I've been wanting to get back into making 3D art for a while now, and with the recent release of Blender 4, I decided now was a good time. I found and followed Blender Guru's newest Donut Tutorial, found here: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjE…
Since I have past 3D experience I decided to "risk it" and spin things off a bit. I went my own way with the lighting, made a mock kitchen window, didn't make the plate I was supposed to, and spent extra time working on the donut textures. I also didn't make an animation for the camera as I'm not interested in that at the moment. When I get to animation I'll find some more extensive lessons.
This is the first 3D project I've ever done where I painted a texture directly onto a model, and it was quite a treat! I'm going to enjoy that a lot in the future!
This completely flipped the initial impressions I had of Blender when I first tried to use it way back in version 1 or 2. Blender 4 has a clean interface and some very simple, yet powerful, features and I'm eager to jump into my next project!
