I have come across this image several times now and every time it amazes me.Β The set up of the light, the composition of all the figures, the colors, the interesting combination of rough oil strokes with the starfield in the back...Β The perfect placement of the shadow on the allegorical figure's back - Somehow these all combine to be more than the sum of its parts.Β In short - art.Β One of the many purpose of art is to expand one's mind, one's imagination, one's cognition...Β In this respect, this work accomplishes this purpose perfectly.Β Had to fave it.
