This was originally taken as a color photo. I used the lasso tool in The GIMP to select around the edges of the droplets, and then I desaturated the rest of the image. (It's pretty much the same process that I used in making "A Splash of Color.") I like how the green pops out against the black and white.

Cool; I know how to do that in PS, but I was curious if you did it how I thought you did.
