Thank you! I recently found a nice effect for the model shader which gives it a dark look.

The MMD program needs a plug-in called MME in order to have effects on the models, short for MikuMikuEffect. You download effects that people can provide for this specific program and use it on your plug-in. 

The mme effect I used is called "T_ASBShader" (I believe) which gives the model a dark shadow.

Hopefully It makes some sense!

Ah, I see. And once the MME is downloaded, it opens in MMD? I'll have to play with it a bit.

You take some files from MME and add them in the file folder of your MMD in order to work. Once that's done, you'l be able to see a small tab saying "MMEffect" once you open MMD.

Try downloading the newest version of MME in order for some effects to work!

Oh really? I'm really trying to figure out how to make a custom model of one of my OCs... Do you know how to use PMD editor? I've got some tutorials saved, but I haven't looked at them yet. But I'll have to do that.

I only know the basics to PMD. What I know may be in the tutorials you downloaded already so I don't think I'll be much good use xD
