He does look very tough indeed. Nice brawler. I like his necklace too, something about a tough guy without a shirt and with a necklace makes him look even more strong.
Are the green bands around his hands like, hard weapons, or something else?

Those are to protect his knuckles from punching so yes, it is a pretty hard material
