I received a request through dA to design a set of wings for a woman who spins poi. Originally I was hoping to make a profit from the design, but that fell through, but I was too excited by the concept and designed it anyway.I wanted to design a set of wings that reflected the element of fire with a tribal vibe. To achieve that I used a set of firefly wings as the basis of the vein structure, and this image [link] is the inspiration for the main wing design. I put a lot of thought into this one... hope ya'll like it.

i think its fine, i may not be able to add color to it at all lol, its perfect the way it is. i just need to put the sacred geometry of poi going straight down the center the exact same way i did with mine, *minus the order of the symbols*
another reason its perfect, i wanted it to look like they were comming out of my back, and these will cause they dont close off. you did it PERFECT, my fire family agrees, my school family agrees, f*ck my parents agree lol.

I'm glad everyone agrees, LOL. (Even your parents! Although, the fact that they let you spin poi speaks volumes to their coolness-factor...) I may try to add color to them on my own for shits and giggles. I'll send it to you if/when I do if you want. If you need more space for your symbols let me know!

it think it might need more space for the symbols cause i drew them in but they are crowded, but i'm letting my friend lane mess with it. to see what he gets, he used to work in a tatto shop also. but yeah i would love to see she shits and giggles colored version
