Intense! I haven't read/watched it.. I heard it's too violent for me haha.

You'll start off being amazed at the quality of art (manga or anime) and the characters will slowly flesh themselves out over time. However, a major warning if you decide to watch...don't get attached to ANY character. This story has little to no plot armor. It's also deep and decently intellectual.
You will start off going, 'Oooohh, wow!' and by the end you'll be in tears. First episode did that to me...a lot of feels in this story.

It is definitely quite violent, but it's top notch in story, characters, animation and music in my opinion, easily among some of the best show's I've seen. But if highly violent material is a problem I suggest stay away from it. : D
