Today, the babies are spending the whole day outside, for the first time!
I obtained a nice homemade kennel from my neighbors (they used to use it for their cat), and fixed it up for Puddle and Penny. It's out in the duck yard, so they can see and interact with Ping when she comes out of the coop for a swim. So far, they seem extremely content to be out of the garage!Until they're big enough to be loose in the duck yard, they'll be spending every nice day out in Baby Jail ™, where they're safe from anything that may want to eat them.

Thank you! XD In about a month, they'll finally be old enough to move outside permanently. They grow so fast!
Oh, and before I forget, as of last night, Puddle's confirmed to be a girl!! I'm so relieved I picked the right flavor of duckling, haha.

They had such a fun time outside! When it was time for them to go in for the night, both of them bailed out of the shopping basket I carry them around in, and wouldn't let me catch them. XD
Surprisingly, her colors actually aren't how I was able to confirm her gender! Her voice was the giveaway, haha. Girl ducks quack, while boys make a raspy "wuh-waah" sound.
My mom calls it "baby head," since that floof's all that remains of their baby fluff. They'll be sleek all over like real birds someday! XD
