I remember the helicopter at the end of the original Ghost in the Shell film had these adjustable bird-like wings. This started out as a Hind and took a turn for Gibson/Shirow.

Once again, my curse is not finishing things. Maybe I'll revisit it someday. I've always had a soft spot for the Hind - The mujaheddeen said something in an old documentary about the gunship I'll never forget - "We do not fear the Russians. We fear their helicopters."

Or something like that. What's not to love about a hovering tank?
