I always loved blimps and I think I just about pissed myself when I finally found a cool book about them. those books alone fueled my art for a few years I think.

Blimps! But Moorcock's dirigibles are not blimps, they're rigid airships, goddamit! Well... I think they're rigid airships anyway. Okay, so they *might* be blimps; I can't really remember.

I just saw that you asked for Advanced Critique. Although I don't know how to do this, I'll attempt to provide input.

The airships might be a little too overloaded with weaponry and a solid hull to fly in reality (unless they're made of something like Moorcock's "Boron-fibre hull", which they seem to be). However, if they were more realistic, they wouldn't be bristling with guns, and bristling with guns is interesting.

I like the left airship the best, although I do like the right one's smokestacks, (and I appreciate seeing it blasting through a German battleship). The right one's undertower and the configuration of the weapons doesn't quite do it for me - the left vessel looks more formidable and coherent with its four (six?) engines and more prominent tailfins.

I also appreciate the little doodles of sample ordinance falling from the craft.

thanks for an actual thoughtful comment...no one really takes "Advanced Critique" seriously, and I totally agree with the wieght problem comment. usually when people pose abnoxious questions (by that I mean realistic) I just mutter some bs about special fibre and undiscovered gasses...but these ships probebebly would collapse under ther own wieght on the ground

and yes the left airship is much better, mostly because it shows the differance between how I drew airships a couple of years ago and how I draw them now, so yeah, definatly an improovement.
