About the Work!

The park held a little presentation on Indiana bats a few weeks ago, and it was very informative and fun.

This little guy is a (full grown!) Big Brown Bat. His name was Chocolate and he had a crippled wing, so he couldn't fly (and therefore is unable to be released back into the wild) and needed to be given his food-but being given fat meal worms for his meals obviously made him one very happy bat. He made the most adorable little squeaking sounds.

Picture's a bit blurry as he was moving his head around a lot. I think he was trying to figure out why he was in a room full of people.
