the only thing i do not like are the goliath eyes, they look too human, but it s wonderful piece of art. well done, fantastic job.

Yeah, his eyes didn't quite come out the way I'd planned. Once they were worked into his face, I thought they fit the piece pretty well.

This is a very wonderful pencil drawing of my favorite couple from GARGOYLES, Eliza Maza and Goliath. Love the very tender, yet romantic expressions between these 2 Lovebirds. The only thing which bugs me a little bit is that Goliath's eyes are a dusky coal color with just the highlight of light in his eyes. Would love to see this sketch completed sometime. KEEP IT UP!

Yeah, the paper wasn't cooperating here. This drawing is finished, but the eyes refused to come together. Maybe I'll give it another shot soon...

True, it's never fun when the paper isn't cooperating with you. Love this drawing a lot, yet I'll be more than happy to share 2 tips with you on how to get the eyes of Eliza and Goliath to come together:
Tip #1: Draw a faint line so the eyes of the pair will meet.
Tip #2: A narrow triangle can also be used to make eyes meet. Shall agree with you on giving it another shot.
I've been doing a lot of new revamped drawings of my old GARGOYLES OCs. 2 of them are sketches of a Reborn Egyptian mummy Clan Leader named Menphis who's 1/2 Egyptian Sphinx Gargoyle and 1/2 Egyptian human Princess dealing with crooks of modern-day Egypt, and the other pic is of a young Jackal Gargoyle warrior-scribe with a mummified human mate.

I couldn't resist fleshing them out. I love this couple and the bond they share. Call me sappy, but somewhere deep down I still believe in true love. These two represent that....

Beautiful. Love the soft shading. Goliath's hair looks a bit flat, but I wasn't expecting it to be super shiny either. X3

Yeah, his hair gave me fits, had a mind of it's own. Doesn't help I've never been sure of it's actual color until just a few days ago.
I'm glad everyone seems to like the piece. Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling....or is that a hairball?
As a side note, I think he looks as if he's about to eat her. Not quite the look I was going for...
