Description
Siluk had never believed Glorifindel to be afraid of anything before. The tundra tokota had always stood firm and sturdy in the face of oncoming danger, from bears, whales, crashing waves, fire, lightning, everything nature threw at him. They traveled across the land for nearly three months finding a situation in which Glory would falter. They'd traveled so far along that even Siluk was beginning to get homesick.

"What are you even afraid of buddy?" The selkie murmured to his partner as they roamed through through the snow-ridden fields bordered by immense forests. The tokota chuffed in response and continued walking on.

He seemed to know where he was going, Siluk just barely recognizing the surrounding country. They hadn't been past this area in a few years, not since Glory was a youngster. The tundra tokota paused in their journeying.

"what's up boy?" Siluk looked around. There was nothing but the sound of birds and the breathing of the tokota beneath him.  "You want us to camp now? It's not.. alright." Siluk began setting up camp, untacking Glorifindel, starting a fire and putting up an odd curved tent with the help of some low hanging branches.
Glorifindel whined softly, nudging Siluk in the back before heading towards the opposite side of the vallery.
"Hey, wait up Glory!" Siluk dropped his roll on the ground and jogged after him.

Across the valley, practically open to the harsh environment was a cave, a den even. There were holes in the ground and roots frozen in the snow where there must have once been bushes shielding the entrance.
"What is this place, looks like an abandoned bear den."
Glory whined and backed away from the entrance.
"Hey now. What... Do you know this place, fella?"
A flash of white darted across Siluk's vision and he stepped into the den to get a better look.

Old blood spattered the floor. Small sized bones were scattered near the center. Glory let out another whine, louder this time as he reluctantly stepped into the den and sat on the floor just a bit away from the entrance.

Something from across the room made a noise. It vaguely sounded like a puppy. Glory bent his head to stare at something right in front of him, something that Siluk was having a hard time seeing.
"What?"
Another puppy bark and a flash of silver before Siluk's eyes adjusted to the dark and he really got a good look at the bones.
"Oh spirits.." He covered his face with his hand in horror of his realization.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered, leaning against Glorifindel who's cheek fur darkened with his tears as the ghosts of his siblings stared him down. His siblings that hadn't escaped, the ones that if he'd been a bigger tokota back then, if he hadn't gotten lost in the forest, he could've saved.

The ones that got left behind.
