Description
So here we go.. another painting based on a doll from my collection.This lovely girl came with a pink tail, and has a very regal look to her.
She has lovely cotton candy pink hair and a belt of gold sequins holding a mesh skirt on to her tail.
She had come with a very elaborate crown but i had a hard time drawing it..
So I used a drawing of her looking at the crown instead.
The feeling behind this image is that this lovely lil mermaid (Is very similar to that in the image, done by Punisher2006 (Thanks for the inspiration btw, Called "Why Did You Choose Me? )has just learned that she is to be the next ruler of the mer-kingdom.
The problem is..
She dosent want it.
I tried to give the girl a pensive look and also wanted to add more of a back ground to this painting than i have some of my others.

This is so beautiful! I love her expression! I captures all the emotions of a reluctant princess with a heavy heart! And the pink does make her look royal! You do an excellent job with water!

It's always scary to try new techniques. I'm using a different kind of paper for my next one and it's taking some getting used too! We just have to keep practicing and trying new things! My pleasure btw!

this piece has a nice flowing feeling to it. It might be the way her tail feels as though it were partly floating in the water and her tail, the way it fans, gives the feel of moving water.
I was just wondering what you plan to do once you mermaid series ends.

Thank you.. this was only the second time ive ever tried painting both abo ve and below the water.. so the water effects were a whole new thing for me. Im glad that you liked them.
As for what i plan on doing when i finish these.. honestly im not sure.. Truthfully i just paint what ever comes into my head.. andinspiration canc ome from any where.. but as a writer you know that.
lately i have had a hard time concentraiting on it..
Things in life outside of my art have been so insane..
I really have no idea what im going to do .. but i will not bore you with the details here.. if your on MSN sometime Iwill bore you there.

Well, Kake isn't from a series, she's my own character. But most of the fin look is from Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch.
