How proud the parents were
when a son of a titan was born to this world
yet the nagging feeling remained
as his heart had been already touched
Their hearts had been bursting of joy and pride; their legacy was going to continue, their titan blood flowing ever stronger. Vorn and Shiva, as independent as they were, could find solace together in the thought of bringing yet another loyal subject to their king, creator god, Loki.
And yet the nagging feeling bothered them both, consumed them like mad rage; their son, not as deadly as they had wanted him to be. Sure, death reeked from his name and talons alike, his mind sharp, his temper both volatile and yet succumbed to the obedient sterness his parents expected from him.
Some said it had been Freyja, the Allmother, who had blessed - cursed! - their titan son. His blood didn't boil when he laid eyes to the lesser beings - his talons didn't cross their paths and cut it short as he grew up.
It could have been just their pure imagination. That was what they kept telling to themselves and to each other - with hushed whispers, promises that couldn't be kept in the end.
When their son, Martaanpurema, sang his first song to greet the Allmother and the Father-God and not the Trickster...
there were no whispers, no promises anymore; just deep waters reeking disappointment and regret.
