Description
This started out as a simple wallpaper but I decided to turn it into this. It's a type of color study in a way and it was fun to do.Some photos from the always handy sxc.hu and some from my personal collection.

WOW! I love the idea, and I think you should make each lightbulb an icon in the windows set. That would be neat, really neat.

I love the concept!
The only thing I can suggest is adding specularity to the bulbs, so they look less flat, and the images look more like they are inside them.

A lovely display of color. I can see why you would go further with it than you were originally planning.
It would be a wonderful thing if we could capture a moment like that, and make the world appear that way for a time, wouldn't it?

I must say after viewing your fractal calender and then this, I must say you know how to make some good deviations. Now this peice is a good peice. I love the lightbulbs and how you managed to craft an image within each bulb. Some look like a sploch of color whilst some look like a real life object, i.e. the grey building in the center bulb. Now I like how to me this shows that the bulbs create light in our world. How they brighten up our cloudy days and make our waters have crystal clear reflections and our flowers (I believe that's what the red image is) stand out and shine with vibrance. If you ask this is a great peice, in which reminds I'll mark this and your calender down as a fav+
