this is ALSO from a song, i get almost all my titles from songs, cos thats usually what first puts the picture in my head. or i recognize something soooo clearly in myself out of a song, that expresses it so right. but anyway, this is from a panicatthedisco song. i forgot the title, but tis the one where in the video theyve all got fishtanks on their heads. ohwait, i remember: lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off. i dont really relate to most of the lyrics (i'm not so into lying OR taking my clothes off. not with other people around at least) but when i heard that word (harlequingirl), it was so...evocative. together with the music. so its just a collage of everything i think a harlequin girl thinks and is and feels.

oh, someone just told me i should credit all the peeps who made the original pictures in this...so:

-Disney (the little mermaid swimming into the sunset)
- Warner Bros (i think) (harry potter and hermione)
-some dude in Prague who took the pretty picture of the rooftops
-some other dudes who made the paintings of roses. over which i made MY OWN biro work of art, so maybe i dont even have to mention them
-ANOTHER dude who made the naked mermaid painting. i really need to look up some of these names. but at least I TRIED and thats what its all about, right? i mean, i'm not pretending i made them or anything.
