Why don't you give her a white mane. Maybe a yellow strip in her forlock. Maybe, possible. Or black stripes all the way along it, to represent the bars on music sheets. Or whatever they are called. Like her tummy basically.

I do relize about 75% the time I draw.
I make the head to big for the body,
and so I don't have a micron pen like
and use
to re-line the picture. So sometimes the white
spots I don't color. B/c I hear you can loose your
vision or something from being on to long.
So I say screw it and I get off after being on
a long time. Oh and about your 
to be mean but I think its a wast to have those
WIPs cuz its just creating more and more of the
same pics. You'd get a lot more comment if you
just colored it and then post it when its finished
